Maternity services, encompasses a range of healthcare and support services provided to expectant mothers before, during, and after childbirth. Our Maternity services are provided by a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and support staff. The goal is to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy, childbirth experience, and postpartum period for both the mother and baby.

Prenatal Care: Prenatal care is essential for monitoring the health of the expectant mother and her developing fetus. This involves regular check-ups at our Mother Child Clinic (ANC), by obstetricians, midwives and family doctors. During these visits, we assess the progress of the pregnancy, screen for any potential complications, and offer guidance on nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle choices.

Ultrasound and Diagnostic Tests: Ultrasound scans and various diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and genetic screenings, are conducted to assess the health and development of the fetus and to identify any potential issues or abnormalities. These tests help determine the due date, evaluate fetal growth, and detect any medical concerns.

Labor and Delivery Services: Maternity services also encompass the actual labor and delivery of the baby. This includes the monitoring of labor progression, pain management options, and, if necessary, surgical interventions like cesarean sections. Healthcare providers and labor and delivery teams work together to ensure a safe and comfortable birthing experience.

Postpartum Care: After childbirth, postpartum care is provided to both the mother and baby. Healthcare providers check for any complications, offer guidance on breastfeeding and infant care, and monitor the mother’s physical and emotional recovery. Postpartum care often includes follow-up appointments to address any concerns and provide support.

Neonatal Care: Neonatal care is specialized care provided to newborns who may have medical issues or require special attention due to premature birth or other factors. Neonatologists and neonatal nurses work in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) to provide round-the-clock care to these infants.

Education and Support: Maternity services also involve providing education and support to expectant parents. This includes childbirth classes, breastfeeding support, parenting classes, and access to resources that help parents make informed decisions regarding their care and their baby’s care.

Emotional and Mental Health Support: Pregnancy and childbirth can be emotionally and mentally challenging. Maternity services often include support for mental health and well-being. Healthcare providers may offer counseling or refer patients to mental health professionals if needed.

Family Planning: Some maternity services may extend to family planning and contraception counseling for individuals who wish to space their pregnancies or prevent future pregnancies.
